Q: How do I unpack programs downloaded from here?
GNU/Linux, BSD (and other unices); tar xzvf source.tar.gz, or a GUI archiver like Karchiver
MacOS: for example; stuffit
MS Windows: for example; WinZip

Q: I want to use your programs, but I don't have perl, where can I get it for my operating system?
A: Perl is designed for Unix/Linux, but you may use perl on Windows and MacOS-systems as well. In order to do so, you have to download perl (which is free/open source). Here's a list of ports:
